Prayer Shawl touches people all over our country, and we wanted to share one special story about a ten year old boy who lives in Virginia. His teacher asked our Prayer Shawl Ministry to make him a shawl because he has been struggling lately. His teacher told us after he opened the package with his very own shawl, in his favorite color of red, his exact words were, "This is the best day ever!" He started to write a thank you note, and typed a little plus sign that he said was a cross. It says, "+ for God." How sweet is that? Our Prayer Shawl Ministry made a difference for this boy, and we are so grateful that this ministry is able to offer comfort, hope and love to so many.
Our Prayer Shawl members have also been bringing comfort to patients undergoing chemo, some of whom are pictured below. Thank you to all our Prayer Shawl Ministry knitters and crocheters for sharing your talents and your prayers! If you're interested in being a part of this ministry, contact us! You can also help, even if you're not a knitter, by donating yarn or making a donation to the church and marking it for Prayer Shawl.
