For seven years, Carolyn Goodwin has been doing God’s work as a missionary in South Sudan and in Uganda, where she worked with refugees who were forced to flee South Sudan due to violence. Our church’s support, along with the support of others around the world, helped her to minister to orphans, refugees, prisoners, and new mothers. It also helped build ministries that offer Trauma Healing Workshops for Children and Adults, Football for Jesus, and paid school fees for children who would not have been able to attend school otherwise. Now God is calling her to a different path. Carolyn will be leaving Africa behind and returning to Atlanta on October 9. Since her ministry in Africa has come to an end, we will no longer have a dedicated fund for contributions to her ministry at the church. She is planning to continue her Trauma Healing Ministries here in America, and if anyone would like to know more about the direction of this ministry or to make a contribution to it, please reach out to Carolyn directly. You can also find her newsletter update here and read more about this transition in her own words. We are grateful for everything that God has done through Carolyn, and her bravery in following his call wherever it leads her. We have no doubt she will continue to work for his kingdom no matter where she is!
